I’d like to welcome you to TheMedCircle.
Let me tell you a little about this website and myself.
My name is H. Leon Daneschvar, a medical doctor in Boston, Massachusetts and the founder of TheMedCircle. One of the major reasons I founded this website was based on my patients’ and my own frustration with the quality of health information on the internet.
I don’t have to tell you that finding a website that provides INDEPENDENT, RELIABLE and ACCURATE medical information on the internet isn’t an easy task.
Most of the high quality websites are made for medical professionals and very few of them address patients’ questions and/or are easy to read.
This frustration encouraged me to launch this website. I believe that patients’ education is the most important step we can take as physicians and as a society to prevent, defeat or at least, control disease and consequently the suffering of large groups of people.
Health literacy can help individuals stand on their own feet and take better control of their mental and physical health.
At TheMedCircle, we help you achieve an exceptional health the SMART way and with information about HEALTH, NUTRITION and MEDICINE that YOU CAN RELY ON.

I’m a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. I’m a fellow of the American College of Physicians. I’ve received my medical degree from the University of Vienna in Austria. I then completed a residency in family practice and two years of heart and lung surgery training in Vienna.
I completed internal medicine residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Health System in Cleveland, Ohio, and finished the training in clinical lipidology in 2008. I’ve published multiple research articles in national and international scholarly journals.
In addition to TheMedCircle I also founded the Heart Disease Prevention and Lipid Center in Dover, New Hampshire before joining Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
My medical interest is disease prevention and my philosophy is that starting early preventive measures can improve long-term health, reduce early deaths and suffering and prevent the reliance on medications later in life.
I strongly believe that if you know more, you’ll suffer less.
